We are pleased to be hosting our second Disarm Kōrero of 2023 in which we will be discussing contemporary conflict, the law of war, and the illusion of civilian protection with Dr Thomas Gregory and Maria Rabino-Neira.
Dr Gregory is a Senior Lecturer of Politics and International Relations at The University of Auckland and Maria is a PhD Candidate researching Armed Conflicts, Humanitarian Law & Counterterrorism at Victoria University Wellington.
Presentations by our speakers will be followed by discussion so reserve a ticket here for some interesting learning and bring your comments and questions. If you are interested in some pre-reading we recommend Dr Gregory’s journal article Calibrating violence: Body counts as a weapon of war, published online by Cambridge University Press: 07 March 2022.
See you on the 31st!
