Earth's Greatest Enemy - Film Screening

On behalf of the World Beyond War WBW organization and the Disarmament and Security Centre, we are inviting you to the screening of Earth’s Greatest Enemy Movie, directed by Abby Martin and Mike Prysner scheduled for Thursday, August 13^th, 2026, at the Turanga Library Christchurch, 60 Cathedral Road, Christchurch Central City.

The movie is an investigation documentary about the impact of wars and war manufacturing on the world environment. War not only destroys the infrastructure and lives of civilians, but it also pollutes air, poison soil and contaminates the water.  The aim of the movie is to bring attention to the significant long-term influence of wars on earth’s environment and on humanity.

Function details:

• Date: Thursday, August 13^th, 2026
• Venue: Turanga Library, Christchurch Central City, 60 Cathedral Square, Christchurch.
• Event Time: 4:30 pm to 7:30pm
• Tea, Coffee and light refreshments will be served from 4:30 pm till 5:00pm at the activities room
• Movie starts at 5:00pm and ends at 7:00 pm
• After the movie ends, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and make comments.  The function ends at 7:30 pm
