Disarm Kōrero #24 - The Day the Sun Fell: Hiroshima & Nagasaki 80 Years On

Join us for our 24th Disarm Kōrero, 'The Day the Sun Fell: Hiroshima & Nagasaki 80 Years On'. We will be joined by two learned speakers: Japan studies scholar Dr Susan Bouterey of the University of Canterbury, and nuclear oral history researcher Olivia Shimasaki of the Peace Foundation. This kōrero will explore the testimonies of the atomic bomb survivors (hibakusha), and the role they have played in adovcating for nuclear disarmament, and what the future holds as the hibakusha's voices grow quieter with time.
