Exhibitions
The Disarmament & Security Centre has helped create and promote a number of exhibitions with the University of Canterbury, the Canterbury Museum and the Christchurch City Council. There smaller laminated sets of the Gandhi and Hiroshima/Nagasaki Exhibitions featured below are available for schools and public libraries. The comprehensive Hiroshima/Nagasaki, Gandhi and Nuclear Free Nation exhibitions are also available with artefacts but, can only be shown in museums.

Children of the Gulf War by Takashi Morizumi
This collection of 11 framed black and white photographs (69cm x 52cm) documents the effects of depleted uranium munitions on the people of Iraq after the first Gulf War. The powerful, haunting imagery of these photographs reveal the truth of DU weapons and tells the story of the children suffering a legacy of radioactive pollution.
Gandhi: A Photographic Exhibition by D.R.D Wadia
This collection of 33 b/w images, taken during the 1940’s, includes portraits and informal images of Gandhi with his friends and followers and with Nehru, Jinnah and other major political leaders of the Indian independence movement. It is laminated and mounted on light plastic board (A3 size).
Hiroshima-Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibition
This collection of laminated photographs and text depicts the consequences of the bombings from 1945 through to the international peace initiatives of today. The exhibition aims to promote the total abolition of nuclear weapons through increased knowledge and understanding.

Nuclear Free Nation [artefacts available for displays]
An exhibition focusing on the 20th Anniversary of Nuclear Free Legislation in New Zealand, How the legislation was achieved and its impact; the ensuing World Court Project and its impact; the Nuclear Free Policy; and Peace Squadron protests. It contains:

- Multi media phone box displaying 3 x 33 image slide shows, DVD of Peace Ribbon, David Lange’s Oxford Union Debate excerpts, peace movement music, peace stickers
- Reading resource table
- 110 historical documents and objects
